This project was initiated by Centerstone of Tennessee, and funded through a grant by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration. Centerstone of Tennessee, through partnership with the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS), Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN) and Centerstone Research Institute (CRI), seeks to provide training, support and services that promote a reduction in suicidal ideation and attempts in Tennessee. Through this collaboration, it is the goal to drive suicides to zero.

We are excited to offer you this application, an innovative smartphone program to provide you ongoing support and resources, help us stay connected and provide you with support when it matters most.

This program regularly checks in with you to see how you’re feeling, tracks sleep and other daily activities so that we know how best to assist you.


Centerstone is one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit providers of community-based behavioral healthcare, offering a full range of mental health services, substance abuse treatment and intellectual and developmental disabilities services in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. The Centerstone Research Institute (CRI) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare through technological advancement to integrate research and technology with clinical practice.


The Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN) is the statewide public-private organization responsible for implementing the Tennessee Strategy for Suicide Prevention as defined by the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. TSPN is a grass-roots association which includes counselors, mental health professionals, physicians, clergy, journalists, social workers, and law enforcement personnel, as well as survivors of suicide and suicide attempts. TSPN works across the state to eliminate the stigma of suicide and educate communities about the warning signs of suicide, with the ultimate intention of reducing suicide rates in the state of Tennessee.

Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services

The Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is the State’s public mental health and substance abuse authority. Our responsibilities include assisting individuals to secure treatment and recovery services for serious mental illness, serious emotional disturbances, and substance abuse addiction. We also provide system planning; monitor, license, evaluate, and set policy and quality standards; collaborate with other state and community agencies; and work to educate the community about mental health and substance abuse services.
